The first lessons provide an overview of the whole course. They try to give you everything that you need to know and to give you a feel for what you will be doing in your ICT Key Skills course and what is expected of you. The areas that we will cover are :

Getting down to some work

Now that you know about the course it's time to start moving. This part of the lesson will remind you of some of the basics of the Operating System that is on your computer. You should know :

  • What is an Operating System and why is it there
  • How to use the Operating system to open up programs and close them
  • How to use the Operating system to find your work
  • How to create new folders to save your work into (& create your Key Skills folder)
  • How to move information between folders.
