  Introduction

This site supports your ICT Key Skills course. The content of the main 4 sections has been designed to try and remind you of some of the things you will have come across while using ICT in the past but may have forgotten about, or perhaps didn't know you knew.

These are basic skills which you will be tested on in the exam and which you will have to use in a practical sense to create evidence for your Key Skills portfolio.

There is not long in the lesson to go over every thing that a program like Word or Access can do. So the lessons have been designed to give you the basics: a foundation on which to build when you do the portfolio. If some of the skills covered are still a little unfamiliar, or indeed new to you at the end of the lesson, then use these pages to review your weak areas.

Most of you only have about 24 hours of lesson time to undertake this course, some of you even less. You don't have time to sit back and think: "I don't need to take it seriously yet", or "I will start it properly next week, (month, Term, Year)" You need to start this course already running. Start by setting yourself a clear target to get something out of this year that you can be proud of and which will be useful to you what ever you decide to do later in life
