North Surrey Afasic

We are a thriving parent-led volunteer group whose aim is to support children and young people with language and communication difficulties.

We are a local branch, founded in 1984, of the national charity Afasic.

The group covers the general Epsom/Leatherhead area and runs events and activities as follows:

We have fortnightly Friday Clubs during school terms for the children. Friday Club restarts on Friday 4^th September 2009.

We have run activity weeks each summer since 1986 for children and young people with communication impairments.

Bookings have closed for this year’s activity weeks.

Provisional dates for next year (2010) are:

Ø 26-30 July 2010 littles week (5-7 yrs)

Ø 2-6 August 2010 middles week (7-11yrs)

Ø 2-6 August 2010 bowles week (11+ yrs)

We have monthly drop-in meetings for parents and carers.

We raise funds through the year to subsidise the summer activity weeks.
