We celebrated our victory over the 'crux' prematurely. This pitch, the 40 foot corner, turned out to be our crux. It was covered in loose snow which lubricated all the foot holds and covered up the gear placements and piton. Adrian managed to escape left at the top somehow. I followed direct and had to be haulled out!
