Generation No. 2

MARY COWAP (JOHN2, JOHN1) was born in Manley, Vale Royal, Cheshire and was baptised on the 12th November, 1837 in St. John the Evangelist C. E. Church, Alvanley. When Mary was 13 years old, she worked as a farmer's servant attached to George Britland household at 3, Green, Alvaney. She married JOHN HELSBY, son of RICHARD and JANE HELSBY nee BROMLEY, on the 1st January, 1866 in The Parish Church, Coppenhall, Crewe.

Mary and John stayed in Crewe for some years where John worked on the railways. Then they moved to Liverpool, where John worked in the forge on the docks as a forgeman and furnaceman. They died in Liverpool. John was buried on the 16th March, 1901, Toxteth Park Cemetery, Smithdown Road, Liverpool. Mary died some years later and was buried on the 29th January, 1910 in Toxteth Park Cemetery, Liverpool.

JOHN COWAP (JOHN2, JOHN1) was born on the 31st January, 1839 in Manley, Cheshire and was baptised on the 24th February, 1839 in St. John the Evangelist C. E. Church, Alvanley. He married ANN, who was born about 1843.

John died on the 13th March, 1883 in Weston, Cheshire and was buried in St. John the Evangelist C. E. Church, Alvanley. Ann was buried with her husband in July 1911.
