Every third Monday of the month sees me at the Royal Oak, just along from Wills Bar in Goodramgate, York mixing it with music. Yes alright so I am still a poet sometimes. And this evening see me going back to my rockin n rantin roots with some of that old stuff that chilled and thrilled you so much. Yes this goes back to when I cared! To when I was beautiful too.

Kicking of at 8 and only a pound this is where all future stage appearances of The Adrian are forged. Yes in this cosy little upstairs room with its fresh flowers, coal fire and free food tell your mother, is where all is happening, where all is planned.

Not really believing in the concept of rehearsals this is not so much a performance as an invitation it improvise. Actually we are getting a little bit more organised. There is even a theory that I may start doing some numbers the same way as I did them last time! No never that would be a first I hear you shout.

Talking of last time it was lovely. Jane Stockdale on percussion and vocals and Jane Hickling on vocals saw a raw simple beauty that I loved and want to repeat. So book us!

Artist to have made an appearance so far include Restless Native, Dan Webster, Julie Ellison, Elaine of Lucid, SpeeSixNine of Player Two, Jane Stockdale of Chechelele, Keith Jackman of Percussion Café, Jane Hickling of Dark Heart, David Moss (ex Banoffi), Johnny Rose (Ex UK Subs), Samantha Thompson of The Answers and Restless Natives. You will be there too.

So basically I am back on stage. After a year of these impro nights I finally feel I have something I want to perform with again. On stage that is. With music that is. Read this and just watch - The bookings will come rolling in.
