Persula - Tour and Album |

Our first
tour was a wonderful thrill! Tony Morris and I have performed around the
north of England in some lovely places and we are heading off again in March
for our first tour of 2005. (Many thanks to the wonderful Fiona of the
charity Persula) Tony creates
a soundscape of atmospheric patterns to fill and weave through entertaining
and humorous action poems. From theatres to homes for the visually impaired,
from community centres to libraries we met delightful audiences. Chatting
afterwards over a cup of tea is a great experience too. People come up with
far more memories than I do. People can’t
thank me as they leave for laughing, “Eh come in he’s great this feller”, a
guy in a wheelchair tells me its easy and he’s going to do it, all it is
telling stories and travelling round I’m going to do that. A librarian told
us by email that she had been so affected by our work she had had to pull the
car over into a layby while she composed herself. The album is
only a tenner. |
