OK so I dreamt this poem. I
don’t know why I dreamed of Lucid before I even knew I had to write them an
intro poem, but I did so I used it. As the wonderful Dame Edna would say,
“Spooky eh” I have always admired them
yes, so I was well chuffed to be described by their beautiful guitarist as
awesome, how he and his partner were awe-struck by me an mi band earlier in
the day. I was even more struck, when they hit me, no, when they asked to do
a double bill with me. I will keep you posted. Me and Rickie Lee Jones right Were in this dream Well on this train As angels filled the sky As images of music Melted above us Challenging the very
consciousness Of this carriage As faces all invading, Singing, shaped the walls Travel unravelled into
sublime arriving Well me and the penguin and
sweet Rickie we Turned into mythical beings And soared through the hearts Of this very audience Who vowed Truly vowed That from now They would keep all their
dreaming Lucid |
