Yer gonna have fun,
have a great time Sublime you will giggle As they juggle the joys of each note, Of each key Setting your expectations wildly free Written from the heart Every part of this world, Is unfurled – You will see And just as your spine feels the chance Of a foot-stomping dance Your soul will be whole in the Wonder of dextrous-sweet melody And your heart will restart Admiring the art; setting your eyes In tearful surprise At the beautifully melancholy Yes this is good It is gutsy It is gleeful Gestalt – Excellent Huge and inside you Prepare for a full-bloodied sound Set to invade you Right here in the wonderful time to be had With Hoover The Dog One of two poems written by Adrian Spendlow to
introduce Hoover The Dog at Broadstairs Festival. The second one, below, was written around the
theme of their latest concept album which I believe is also a dance
production. They are a great bunch of guys and they are planning to use this
poem on the sleeve notes. Cheers Between Born innocent and beautiful We lift ourselves up
And reach for the future Unsteadily learning to be And to arrive into life Oh how we love Throughout all of our living Growing and being with Tackling each crisis, Of existing, surviving and aging Hoping, as we gracefully become, One with time To fly with angels into the sublime Between each instance of existence Breathes the appreciation, Of moments such as this Such music is gifted of god Be reborn in this moment In the richest of melody with Hoover The Dog |
