When the Smart Roadster was launched Evo Magazine decided it would do an article that gave it's readers an alternative to spending a lot of money on a small car.
They had already done the photos and test drive for the Smart so all they needed was a nice condition Beat and a Suzuki Cappuccino that they could compare it to, They had also hopped to get a Mazda AZ-1 but couldn't find one that was available to use.
They were kind enough to let me tag along to the shoot and see what was involved on the day.
The Beat and the Cappuccino both arrived in pristine condition and you would never have guessed that they were almost 10 years old.
