The version of
the popular Sunday School song above about Jesus' love
heralds the only good news to a world in which bad news
claims centre stage! The reason for Jesus' love is that
'God is love'! It is a love that no one can be 'good'
enough to earn it; no one can be 'bad' enough to lose
it; and no one can be 'buffeted' enough to get out of
it!
'How
great is the love the Father has lavished on us,
that we should be called children of God! And that
is what we are! The reason the world does not know
us is that it did not know him.'

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While
we were still sinners, Christ died for us.'

love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,'

By creation, every
human being is destined to be a beautiful object of
that love. It is a love that is received and released
by faith in Him as one's Saviour and Lord! One does
not have to 'feel' loveable or loved to experience it!!!
It is a spiritual reality that is constant. Its dimensions
are unknown but can be explored beyond the disciplines
of philosophy, psychology, sociology, or biology.
'May
Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle
down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts!
May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely
on love,'
'That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend
and grasp with all the saints [God's devoted people,
the experience of that love] what is the breadth
and length and height and depth [of it];'

This sea of change cannot be changed by anything or
anyone! It is eternal (Jer.31:3)! The hottest conflict
cannot dry it up! The coldest war cannot freeze it!
It is an unchanging changer! It constantly shapes the
coastline of humanity!
God's precious
people are destined to be the sea of change which brings
progressive, productive, and prosperous transformation
to others as His love freely and fully flows through
them(Matt.5:13-16). The waves of this sea sing: 'God
is love to us; God is love in us; God is love thru us;
God is love!!!'

so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God,
and God in him.'
