Reality
or Fantasy
Gen.11:4(KJV)
"And they said, Go to, let
us build us a city and a tower, whose top
may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered
abroad upon the face of the whole earth."
The city and tower of Babel
is a perfect example of 'human destiny' which is distinguished by
self-sufficiency.
Self-sufficiency at its best is reckoned by mankind as the greatest
mark of fulfilment.
According to 'human destiny’, any person believes that he or she is the
master or mistress of his or her own destiny.
Based on this belief system, the popular song of 'human destiny' is:
'I can
be what I want to be; I can have what I want to have; and I can
do what I want to do!'
There is no room for God in 'human destiny' for many people; and for
others there is only room for God on 'the sidelines' to help them only
in times of crises.
'Human destiny' sees itself as reality and sees 'divine destiny' as
fantasy!
In contrast, ‘divine destiny' can be compared to 'the house' God wants
to build through an individual person or a group of people.
The following scriptures illustrate this kind of building:
Exodus 25:8-9(KJV)
"And let them make me a
sanctuary that I may dwell among them."
"According to all that I
shew thee, after the pattern of the
tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so
shall ye make it."
This first scripture is about the tabernacle that Moses and the people
of Israel
built in the wilderness on their way to the Promised Land of Canaan
(Exodus 35:4-40:33).
1 Chron.28:11, 12, 19(KJV)
"Then David gave to
Solomon his son the pattern..."
"And the pattern of that
entire he had by the spirit..."
"All this, said David, the
LORD made me understand in writing by his
hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern."
This second scripture is about the temple that Solomon built in
Jerusalem (2 Chronicles
3-5:1) which was first conceived in the mind of his father, David (1
Chronicles 22:7).
Psalm 127:1a(KJV)
"Except the LORD build the
house, they labour in vain that build it"
When the LORD builds a house, he provides the pattern thereof and he
decides what to build; what building materials to use; how to build;
who is to build; and when to build.
Prov.3:5-6(KJV)
"Trust in the LORD with
all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding."
"In all thy ways
acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
There is no need and basis for self-sufficiency in 'divine destiny' and
yet one has a healthy and positive self-esteem of who one is in Christ
Jesus (2 Cor.3:5).
John 15:5c (KJV)
"...for without me you can
do nothing"
'Divine destiny' can only be fulfilled in and through Christ Jesus our
Lord!
'Divine destiny' is anything that the Lord has sent a person or people
to be, have and do on the earth; and the sent one(s) cannot be greater
than the sender(John 13:16).
'Divine destiny' sees itself as reality and sees 'human destiny' as
fantasy!
'Divine destiny' is the ultimate reality for mankind!!!
Dear reader, with the love of our God, I ask you to only and always go
for ultimate reality-go for 'divine destiny'!!!
Your 'divine destiny' perfectly fits into the collective 'divine
destiny' for mankind!
The starting point is for you to enter into a covenant relationship
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:12-13, Rom.10:8-10).
In Christ Jesus, you can never be alone and forsaken because you always
have God's presence and help (Matt.28:20b, Heb.13:5c-6) especially as
you seek to discover and fulfil the 'divine destiny' for your life.
God has already put your 'divine destiny' in your heart in form of a
dream or vision for your life.
Your 'divine destiny' is a good and perfect gift from God to you
beautifully wrapped and sweetly perfumed with his love for you
(Jer.29:11, James 1:17).
God in his unconditional and extravagant love is much more willing than
you can ever be for you to discover and fulfil your 'divine destiny'.
You have the important choice to fully depend on God in this respect!
Therefore as you seek the Lord (Matt.7:7-11, Eph.1:17-19, Col.1:9) with
a sense of 'divine destiny' in your heart, you will surely find out the
'divine destiny' for your life as God reveals it to you personally.
God will surely build in his own way and timing through you the 'house'
in form of the dream or vision that he has placed into your heart as
you walk with him.
You always have the help of the indwelling, illuminating, and
empowering Holy Spirit to walk with the Lord by exercising faith in him
through his word kept in your heart even when circumstances seem
contrary!
This faith walk is improved when you fellowship with other members of
the body of Christ in a local assembly (Psalm 119:63, Prov.13:20a,
Prov.27:17, Acts 2:42, Heb.10:25).
As the Lord builds with you, and you build with him, whatever is built
will never be in vain (Psalm 127:1a)!
'Divine destiny' is the ultimate reality from God for you, anything
else is fantasy!!!
