Psalm 115:16
The highest heavens belong to the LORD,
but the earth he has given to man.

There has always been a generation of human beings who have lived on the earth carrying out only one mandate!

Gen.1:26-28
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

That mandate is the mandate of heaven on earth!

1 Peter 2:9-10
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

That generation is made up of people chosen by God for His own purposes on earth!
This divine choice is not based on the will of the created (John 1:13; 15:16) but the will of the Creator and Redeemer.
This will is based on God’s unconditional love towards mankind (John 3:16; 1 John 4:10).
These people become God’s people when they obtain citizenship in heaven while on earth.

Philippians 3:20
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

This citizenship is obtained not by their works but by God’s grace (Eph.2:6,9).
By God’s grace, they are spiritually birthed anew from heaven above into the kingdom of God on earth (John 3:3-8).
And the good news of the kingdom is that the new birth is a must for everyone living on earth today so that everyone could carry out the mandate of Heaven on earth!!!
This new birth is experienced as anyone turns away from his or her own ways,thoughts and purposes;and receives (John 1:12) by faith Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour!

John 3:31
"The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

These heavenly citizens now live with the revelation of who their Source is, that is, the Source of their new life.
In the light of that revelation (Eph.1:17-23), they realised the supremacy of that new life in the Spirit over their old life.

John 6:38
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.

They also realised the responsibility that comes with such supremacy.
The hallmark of that responsibility is doing the will of God who is their Source!
They as quickened spirit beings in union with God (1 Cor.6:17) daily surrender their bodies unto Him (Rom.12:1) to be living sacrifices;and submit their minds [which were naturally programmed against His will] unto His word (Rom.12:2) to be renewed.
They delight in the will of God in heaven always being done in and through them.
Doing the will of the Source is fulfilling divine destiny!

Matt.6:10
your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.

The place for this heavenly mandate to be carried out is the earth itself!
Those that truly do this are ‘icons of heaven’-people who walk in the steps of the ‘Icon of Heaven’ Himself!
Their works on earth (Eph.2:10; Titus 2:14) are just like His when He physically walked on this earth (Acts 10:38).
Their works glorify God (Matt.5:16) just like the works of Christ glorified God (Matt.15:31).

Matt.18:18
"I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Corporately the ‘icons of heaven’ wield such awesome power and authority on all over the earth to advance the kingdom of God on earth more and more as the close of this Age draws nearer and nearer to the intent that 'the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former' (Haggai 2:9)!
