Gal.5:1(NIV)
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Gal.5:1(AMP)
IN [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off].

There is a yoke of bondage carried by everyone born into this physical world even if one is the best religious and philosophical person on earth(1 Cor.1:22)!
No religion or philosophy of the world system can set one free from this yoke!
This is because the world system opposes God and therefore one’s divine destiny.
Therefore under this yoke, one is not able to discover and fulfill one’s divine destiny!
This yoke of bondage has no respect for anyone's sex,class,riches,religion,philosophy,education,or race!

1 Cor.2:9, 10, 14 (NIV)
However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"

but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1 Cor.2:9, 10, 14(AMP)
But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].

Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man's scrutiny].

But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.

All things that God has prepared for one to be,to have, and to do is one’s divine destiny.
But this destiny cannot be truly accessed by the natural person who is born in the flesh.

The good news of the kingdom of God is that there is true and complete freedom in the Spirit!
It is only when this person becomes born of the Spirit, one’s innermost being [one’s spirit] comes alive (Eph.2:1,5)and in union with God (1 Cor.6:17)!

John 3:6(NIV)
Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

John 3:6(AMP)
What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.

One becomes born of the Spirit when one turns away from one's own ways and receives Christ Jesus into one's heart as Lord and Saviour (John 1:12-13)!
The one who is born of the Spirit is now free (Rom.8:2) to discover and fulfill divine destiny!
Now that one is 'born of the Spirit',in one’s soul, there is a ‘fight’ between the Spirit [in one's spirit] and the old nature [the flesh] because they are opposed to each other.
The Spirit [in one's spirit] and all the things of the Spirit sustain one's divine destiny.
The flesh and all the things of the flesh disregard one's divine destiny!

Gal.5:16,17(NIV)
So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.

Gal.5:16,17(AMP)
But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).

For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do.

While under the Spirit one fulfills one’s divine destiny, under the flesh one ‘hinders’ one’s divine destiny!
It is within one's soul, one has to make a choice between life [being spiritual minded] or death [being carnally minded] (Deut.30:19) ,in fact there is only ONE choice for one who is connected to God-that is, life [being spiritual minded]!
By reason of this choice, one continually feeds one’s mind [which has been naturally programmed to operate under the yoke of bondage] with the word of God which is the perfect law of liberty (James 1:25).

John 6:63(NIV)
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

John 6:63(AMP)
It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.

Rom.8:6(NIV)
The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;

Rom.8:6(AMP)
Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].

'The spirit' behind 'the letter' of the word of God makes it life-giving food to one's mind (2 Cor.2:6).
This spiritual food frees one’s mind (John 8:31-32) from bondage to the flesh,the world system, and the devil so as to be controlled by the Spirit more and more.
It is only under the control of the Spirit who lives in one’s recreated spirit that one discovers and fulfills divine destiny!
When one's mind is thus spiritually fed, then in times of temptation one will fight and not fail because one is walking with the Spirit and the word who never fail!

But if one has failed and fallen, one should arise (Micah 7:8), turn away from the failure, and stand to fight under God's Spirit and God's word who never fail!
That failure does not make one a failure!
This is the fight not for freedom but the fight of faith (1 Tim.6:12) using the freedom that one already has in Christ so as to fulfill divine destiny.
One's faith is in Christ needs to be exercised with this 'freedom fight' in pursuit of divine destiny against the tempter who is the real loser!!!

Gal 5:,24,25(NIV)
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Gal.5:24,25(AMP)
And those who belong to Christ Jesus (the Messiah) have crucified the flesh (the godless human nature) with its passions and appetites and desires.

If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.]
