DREAMTALK 3
Job 33:14-18(KJV)
"For God speaketh once,
yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not."
"In a dream, in a vision
of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon
men, in slumberings upon the bed; "
"Then he openeth the ears
of men, and sealeth their instruction,"
"That he may withdraw man
from his purpose, and hide pride from man."
"He keepeth back his soul
from the pit, and his life from perishing by
the sword."
Isaiah 53:1-9(KJV)
"Who hath believed our
report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD
revealed?"
"For he shall grow up
before him as a tender plant, and as a root out
of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see
him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. "
"He is despised and
rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted
with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised,
and we esteemed him not."
"Surely he hath borne our
griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did
esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted."
"But he was wounded for
our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his
stripes we are healed."
"All we like sheep have
gone astray; we have turned every one to his
own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
"He was oppressed, and he
was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth:
he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her
shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth."
"He was taken from prison
and from judgment: and who shall declare his
generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the
transgression of my people was he stricken."
"And he made his grave
with the wicked, and with the rich in his death;
because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth."
And the dreamer slept and found himself at a table in the corner
of a small and quiet restaurant with a stranger who was reading from
the book of Isaiah chapter 53 verses 1-9. He proceeded to engage the
stranger in the following chat:
The dreamer:'If this was part of the climax of Christ's divine
destiny, then it seems to be too costly'
The stranger:'It was very costly but not too costly because his
sacrifice on the cross paid in full(John 19:30) the redemption of
sinful mankind'
The dreamer:'But if his example is for all his followers is the example
not a bit...em...monstrous'
The stranger:'Well,yes and no!'
The dreamer:'In what ways do you agree'
The stranger:'Firstly,it truly reflects the real picture of sin in the
sight of our holy God(Rom.3:10-18). Secondly,no-one else ever needs to
make such a sacrifice(Heb.9:12) for sin.'
The dreamer:'In what ways do you...em...disagree?'
The stranger:'Foremost the way of divine destiny demands total
sacrifice of each disciple of Christ(Luke 9:23-24). Such sacrifice
involves willing surrender of the will of the disciple to the supreme
will of his Master(Luke 22:42). This will attract opposition of the
enemy in the form of persecution and other kinds of 'ugly'
challenges but none of these can separate God's children from his
everlasting love(Rom.8:35-39).'
The dreamer:'How come you speak these things with such authority(Mark
1:22)?!'
Just then the waiter arrived, and dinner was served. Immediately the
stranger took bread, and blessed it,and brake, and gave it to the
dreamer(Luke 24:30). And he woke up!!!
Isaiah 53:10-12(KJV)
"Yet it pleased the LORD
to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when
thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he
shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in
his hand."
"He shall see of the
travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by
his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall
bear their iniquities."
"Therefore will I divide
him a portion with the great, and he shall
divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul
unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the
sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."
Philippians 2:5-11(KJV)
"Let this mind be in you,
which was also in Christ Jesus:"
"Who, being in the form of
God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
God: "
"But made himself of no
reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:"
"And being found in
fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
"Wherefore God also hath
highly exalted him, and given him a name which
is above every name: "
"That at the name of Jesus
every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
and things in earth, and things under the earth;"
"And that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father."
