DESTINY-SHIPS
Ecclesiastes
4:9-12(KJV)
"Two are better than one;
because they have a good reward for their
labour."
"For if they fall, the one
will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that
is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up."
"Again, if two lie
together, then they have heat: but how can one be
warm alone?"
"And if one prevail
against him, two shall withstand him; and a
threefold cord is not quickly broken."
Amos 3:3(KJV)
"Can two walk together,
except they be agreed?"
In every journey of divine destiny, at
certain times and seasons, every person is
divinely linked to others so as to aid the fulfilment of his or her
divine destiny.
Such relationships are known as 'destiny-ships'.
Such relationships could be 'upward',
'sideward', or 'downward'.
'Upward' 'destiny-ships' are like the relationship between our Lord
Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father (John
5:19)
'Sideward' 'destiny-ships' involve one's mates like the four Hebrew
children in Daniel 1:6.
'Downward' 'destiny-ships' are like the relationship between Moses and
Joshua (Exodus 33:11)
Such could involve parents, children, spouse, siblings , relatives, friends and even enemies!
The most important is the God ward 'destiny-ship'!
This is an 'upward' 'destiny-ship' that a child of destiny needs at all
times, seasons and
places throughout his or her life's journey.
The only way to enter into this special destiny-ship is by one
repenting of one's sins (Acts 2:38)and
believing (Acts 16:31)on the Lord Jesus
Christ as one's personal Lord and Saviour
Love is the only medium with which these 'destiny-ships' should be
handled!
Within the framework of Christian fellowship, corporal
prayer is an important means by which Christians assists one another in
their pilgrimages.
Matt.18:19-20(KJV)
"Again I say unto you,
That if two of you shall agree on earth as
touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my
Father which is in heaven. "
"For where two or three
are gathered together in my name, there am I in
the midst of them."
God loves to use any person to 'sharpen' his or her fellow pilgrim. The
latter person needs to humble himself or herself so as to profit from
the bitter-sweet 'sharpening' process which is designed to enhance the
fulfilment of divine destiny!
Prov.27:17(KJV)
"Iron sharpeneth iron; so
a man sharpeneth the countenance of his
friend."
The whole collection of 'destiny-ships' assigned to anyone can be
likened to a fleet of ships that are meant to convey that person to the
point of fulfilment of divine destiny!
Beware of bad or negative relationships that will only lead to
destruction:
2 Chron.20:35-37(KJV)
"And after this did
Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah
king of Israel, who did very wickedly:"
"And he joined himself
with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and
they made the ships in Eziongaber."
"Then Eliezer the son of
Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against
Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the
LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were
not able to go to Tarshish."
Finally the Lord Jesus Christ is the only everlasting best Friend one
could ever have throughout one's journey of destiny!!!
If you do not know Him as your Friend, you need to know Him
now(Philippians 3:8-10)!
If you already know Him as your Friend, you need to know Him more and
more(2 Peter 3:18)!
Prov.18:24(KJV)
"A man that hath friends
must shew himself friendly: and there is a
friend that sticketh closer than a brother."
