Here are some examples of the hidden words kind of clues. When you have worked them out, click the link at the bottom of the page to see the right answers.
Imagine the glee with which the setter here used out as a definition, knowing that it would send the incautious victim on an extended and fruitless search for an anagram! The whole clue apparently makes good sense, which can be very distracting in itself. The grammatical identity of out as a noun here is neatly concealed by making it look like the adverbial part of a compound verb to find out. Finally the comma inserted within the gap between the two components of the answer makes this a particularly nice example.
