LOST 2-0 We lost and I am gutted we did not even score ! what a day you build yourself up scream like a madman and what for ! oh well the new DVD is wicked and well worth the £20, and the bloke who directed it is called Mark Procter (no relation) great name ! So go out and get the DVD beg steal or borrow a DVD player if need be. And how much do you start to hate the oppostions managers and bench staff there goading really does my head in ! I think that they should be briefed to not wind the crowd up but hey its there cup final let them have there fun !!! we must still come second and go up and that would be a royal finger to them all !! WITHDEAN 2000 Ok here we go, im just of to the game and I hope the boys do us proud this is a must win game and i think we can do it so keep your fingers crossed,p.s franchise are doing girls football until June in merton and then they dont know ! Im back from my travels ! Ok i missed us win 5-0 at home (gutted) and apprently i was in the programme So you can now all look out for me and say there is that sad man who does the afc dons site !!! Please Read this link ...... I can’t help it!!! I have a friend who has 2 daughters and I have taken them to Wimbledon This news drives me crazy, if I was still living in the merton area I
would not have this Anyway I phoned the FITC scheme and am waiting for them to tell me if there is a scheme in Merton? For girls aged 5-16 by Franchise FC? Don’t worry I’m not going to join up as Wimbledon are my team but I thought I would find out! AFC Wimbledon will I’m sure setup a great option in the area as
soon as they can, and that is what I want, but it is not fair that Wimbledon
(the community) has to start again!!! Updates Sorry once again for the delay on my thoughts of the past week, Lost 2-0 to Hartley Witney in the league (last sat) 1)AFC Wallingford Played 26 points 72
Withdean 2000 have a lot of games in hand , but also a lot to play in the next couple of months !! I have had a pretty cool week bar the AFC scores, as you know I generally only attend home match (unless money lets me go further a field) so I miised the 2-0 lose, I was seeing Peter Kay on Wednesday (so the cup was out as well, I thought I could make it up next round doh !!) however Peter kay was very very funny and if you can go and see him, and along came sat and I had promised a friend a good day out to see Wimbledon and the game was off, Him being a Luton fan the Peterborough game was a go until I relised it was a 12 o’ clock K.O, bugger ….. so off we went to see the FA cup goal scorer himself Lawrie Sanchez and saw Wycombe win 3-1 against Notts county, nice ground they have their although the burgers were not that hot ! Any way im off to the netherlands for a week, so I will miss the next
match as well, Hopefully I will be in the infamous yellow and blue programme
soon on the See you all for the crunch Withdean 2000 game !!! and I promise I will update quicker once im back and rested !!! GOALS UPDATED I have updated the goals section and this week will see if looking very different soon keep checking back to see the new and improved goals section Wimbledon 2-1 Godalming & Guildford DONS WIN ! YES So did Wallingford Dam ! A very good performance I thought and a very good game, the open meeting
before the game really set the mood for the future and our plans for a
stadium, we are a well of club from what I understand and the figures
were as open as they could be, although I think some people where a bit
miffed that we could not be told what our get a clause cost would be if
we left Kingsmeadow I did not think this mattered as long as it was not
too much, I understood why certain things cannot be out in the public
domain , the presentations where very good and it was well attended as
was the match attracting almost 2800 Fans, I cannot wait until the new
white kit is out and I for one am glad we are not changing our kit next
season the information on gaining promotion and applications was also
very interesting and got me up to date on what the situation is. FROZEN PITCH A frozen pitch for the last week has stopped Wimbledon from playing at all, along with a lot of others in the CCL 2-2 DRAW What a bad performance by the dons, and lucky to come back from 2-0 which
did make the comeback exciting. They thing I saw most was how much the
other teams players try and incite our team and the fans as well, now
we all know that they play these games as there big cup match and up there
game. I mean average attendance so far at kingsmeadow is 3081 with withdean
2000 the closest with 368, so I can see how they feel great when beating
us all !! However I think this should be monitored as it has already helped
the team get the worst disciplinary record and I don’t want it to
upset our fans reputations, when the police have to guard the number 9
and pals dug out that cant be good, and the Refs ! wow I think the pressure
is too much they make fatal errors and it costs us dear still cooper did
it again for us ! One pace cooper, hardly ever passes really annoys me,
wins us the game again ! bugger New Section Added A monthly comment on Wimbledon, Franchise and Stuff NEWS I expect you have all seen this but I thought it was most interesting…… Clubs are allowed to draw youngsters from within 90 minutes drive of
their base "We want to honour our commitment to those youngsters and want them
to stay Wimbledon players as long as we want them to, or as long as they
want to." Although some drivers would say they could complete the journey from Merton to Milton Keynes within the 90 minutes allowed, it is unlikely to wash with the powers that be, meaning that Wimbledon's likely satellite in north London will be the club's only link with the London area. I did not know there was a rule governing the academy base and distance,
so once Franchise establish themselves in MK bye to all academies in London
bar one in North London, this is my man bug bear with the move, a club
that rises to the dizzy heights of Wimbledon and helps local boys and
girls with careers in football will be taken from the area forever, I’m
sure if the Old centrals heard about this they would not move to MK?
Walton Casuals 5-0 – WIN ! Sorry for the Delay
AFC V Bedfont 2-1 AFC V Viking Greenford 4-0 Went to the “stand up for the dons” night , great evening
and for me a big fan of mark Thomas an even better one, all the comedians
where great and the auction was amazing , a signed AFC top went for £1400
I think, the vinnie and gazza picture £1500, and 6 programmes for
£600+, I could not afford anything although through inheritance
I think I will have most of the programmes they had on display as my dad
has them, 1977 1st league match against Halifax , 1963 amateur cup final
v Sutton, 1988 FA cup final, 2002 AFC v Sutton, the ones I don’t
think he has is the last plough lane one 4 may1991 v palace and 1988 Liverpool
charity shield , im sure he is frantically checking now, so I will let
you all know asap. A football went for a few hundred and some lucky bugger
one a match ball sponsorship, also up for grabs printer, a year’s
fitness membership and some other bits and bobs, you missed out on this
one big time if you could not make it. See you all on Saturday AFC Wallingford 3 AFC Wimbledon 0
Wimbledon 0-1 Feltham I meet up with the other Wimbledon fan from Luton today and found out
some interesting things about the franchise stall in the center in MK,
apparently he knows the person who has the displeasure of running it as
manager, even he attends AFC games!! And for some strange reason it is
open on match days ? eh ? I think I will pick up my Wimbledon FC in MK
car sticker before I travel 70 miles to crystal palaces ground ?! Anyway
from what I understand he wants out and the club sounds like it is folding
from the inside , which is rather sad , but football cubs should not desert
there fans, by going against what they want, and clubs should not move
anywhere without concrete plans of a new stadium. Game was not good although
I think we hit the post and there was some pinball wizard action in there
penalty box near the end. Still see you all at the Wallingford game. Also
found another fan who lives in St Albans. Wimbledon 1-5 Southhall Cup game defeat ! Dam ! Wimbledon 2-0 Merstham Another league win Fantastic !!!
Cove 1-4 Wimbledon 2ND IN THE LEAGUE !!!!!!!!! Oh the joy of owning a club that has not lost in 12 matchs !! Ok I have been short listed on Ntlworld as top Ntl site of the month
so please vote for me (AFC Dons) at Have added a little Photo to remember the low attendance
2-1 Wimbledon We won........ again ,the weather was horrible and we cursed that we did not leave the bar early enough to sit further into the stand, still we came good and won ! Goals up soon and stats updated already 4-0 Again Woodford Town 10wins in a row !!! WOW , ok if you missed the Oakins Goal and the Ali goal you should be gutted ! Ok its late all i need to say is animated goals will be up asap work is getting in th way and i have found another AFC fan living in luton which was mad !! I have added a Stats section kindly provided by Melvyn Procter which you can access now, see you all Saturday 11 wins here we come 8 League wins would be ace !! 4-0 Cobham get beaten as Dons Continue on Form 7 league wins and 9 total wins in a row! Spartan South Midlands League - Premier Division Oh and I tried to find out more but places like mkweb.co.uk don’t
care about a Spartan game but have all the stats on Franchise FC, now
they care about football ? Lets see how much they care when the team loses
for weeks or months, lets see if they can keep a support of 6000, when
based for 11 years outside of there home town? 3years Ditton Game Off Our Cup game was called off due to a water logged pitch Farnham Town 0-1 AFC Wimbledon Ok sorry for the delay in updating and I hope you have not stopped visiting The last few results have been So we are on a role which is great and puts us into 4th place A few people ask me if support is getting lower as the season goes on,
and the good news is not in the bit, we took about 1300 fans to the last
away game, that 1228 more than franchise took to there Milwall game so
it is not hard to see where the fans are. Wimbledon 4-3 North Greenford United Another Fantastic win for the mighty dons ?!! Well just about !! To be
losing 3-1 and then win 4-3 was pretty wicked, and to say we did not deserve
it would be wrong but the team need to take the lead a bit more otherwise
I am going to die in the K’s stand ! Was a good game and again we
had lots of the ball and chances but did not finish them off I think when
they went down to 10 men this helped a lot. And for a bit of trivia as
you are all aware wearing a football shirt out and about on a Saturday
can get you into all sorts of conversation with complete strangers and
with Wimbledon these conversations over the last couple of season have
been always great as our plight is well documented, so whilst at a Some
Dogs gig on Saturday night it was a nice surprise to get a shout out from
the band about AFC and our performance, it is quite amazing how people
react to football tops, but to AFC tops there is nothing but respect it
is a crazy situation.
Having Ummed and Errred about whether to make the lonely trip to Norbiton from Luton, as my Dad lives on the Isle of Wight making mid-week games a nightmare, having recently been dumped and my friend either casual football fans or for unknown reasons support other clubs I finally decided to make the solitary journey to see my first ever London Senior Cup game, I donned my Pride and Joy a new home AFC top (one of the first 300 I’ll have you know) and off I went, Thameslink was running fine !! shocking and I got my connection at Vauxhall or so I thought, until luckily I realised I had jumped on the wrong train as mine was running late , so I quickly changed at Wimbledon station, I arrived at the ground around 7pm and said hello to James Howard on my way in feeling bad that I had once again bought a programme from someone else (I promise I will buy one from you on Sat James) So off I went and grabbed myself a Pint and continued to fuel my fears that this was a bad idea as Terry Eames said in the programme about trying new players and concentrating on the league, I finished my lone pint and decided to for the first time at Kingsmeadow to go behind the goal, being quite tall I stood at the back not realising that it would become very hard to see when the ball crossed the line and any goal mouth scrambles. So I turned off my phone and thought If she rings tough I’m watching the match. We played well and things were ticking over but a lucky bounce and we suddenly found ourselves 1-0 down ? The score line stayed the same and after half time I moved nearer the middle, my thoughts turned to despair as we went 2-0 shortly into the second half as all our possession was worth nothing, but as quick as that happened it was 2-1, now I have never seen so many misses, open goal blunders , saves, post hits or madness I regards to not being able to score but we managed them all, the goalie received a torrent of abuse in regards to his sexuality (I wonder if he will ever wear tights track suit bottoms again !!) and slow chants of his name, whether this helped put him off but we did eventually managed to get it too 2-2 !! and very near the end as well. So extra time was on!! and we went down 3-2 ! Did I mention the ref had sent off our Danny Roberts for nothing earlier and that the lino’s had no idea what offside or handball was? So Allan returned to our end and we again attempted to upset him and guess what!! After a number of mad misses it was 3-3 and then penalty’s !! Glen saved the first Penalty and we loved it , we booed and jeered the Brimsdown Rovers players and gave silence to our players until we scored , thankfully no one missed although I have no idea how Gallimore’s shot went in , again the problem of not being able to see the goal line ! But we won and went mad ! 5-4 on pens final score 8-7 to the Dons, I rushed off to get my train as the all the players and staff basically joined the crowd with the much worried wimbledon stewards looking on (although inside they loved it) And you know what I didn’t even txt her the score, I rang my Dad and told him the great news. I’ve said too much ?! See you all on Saturday. adam Vs Reading Town 2-0 Another Fine Win for the Dons, got to the game nice and
