WHAT IS CORPORATE ROLEPLAY?
Corporate roleplay is a
method of training professionals by presenting "real-life" situations in
their workplace. Utilising professional actors a combination of several
techniques are used in corporate roleplay:
1. Communication Skills
exercises and drama-based games can illustrate significant areas for
discussion and improvement.
2. Forum Theatre
involves typical encounters being performed for the team by the actors.
The professionals can stop, start, pause and rewind the scenarios
altering what is said, and what is done by the actors, bringing the
scenarios to a satisfactory conclusion. The professionals may even step
into the scene and take the place of the actors if they so wish.
3.Sketches are
mini-plays performed by the actors to illustrate a key point, or provide
a starting point for a focussed discussion.
4.Interactive Roleplay
involves actors directly interacting with professionals in a
scenario developed to illustrate a key area of discussion. This a safe
environment for professionals to try out new communication techniques.
