A new training tool for healthcare professionals

Healthcare Interact is a corporate roleplay company devised and facilitated by Dr Adam Porter BDS BSc. (Hons) . (Equity name: Adam Timms)
Adam Porter is a qualified dentist, who trained in Cardiff Dental School graduating in 2002. He did his vocational training in Cardiff with trainer Andrew Matthews, who has gone on to become the Vocational Training Adviser for West Wales. Adam has worked in practice with Ann Rockey (Vice Dean of Postgraduate Dental Education in Wales) for five years, whilst also pursuing a theatre career. He did postgraduate training at the prestigious Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and has devised and directed a number of plays, as well as regularly acting on-stage, and leading drama-based workshops. He trained in using theatre as an educational tool at Gwent Theatre, and with Theatr Forum Cymru.
Healthcare Interact is one of Adam’s current projects, utilising his drama training and knowledge of communication skills, to perform a variety of patient (and staff) scenarios for healthcare professionals. Healthcare Interact will provide a group of actors, fully prepared with relevant healthcare knowledge by a trained professional, to facilitate these workshops.
HANNAH O'LEARY - ACTOR and FACILITATOR
Hannah O'Leary is Healthcare Interact's regular actor and facilitator. Hannah trained at Birmingham School of Acting, having previously gained a BA in English Literature and an MA in Cultural and Critical Theory. She is experienced in devising and facilitating educational theatre workshops having worked in the educational department at Wales Millennium Centre.
