"Cardiff Shakespeare Readers" is a group for people to get together and experience ALL the great playwright's works as they were intended - spoken aloud!

Forthcoming Readings

In 2009 Cardiff Shakespeare Readers look forward to another year of eclectic plays - spanning the years from 1597 to 1602. Will's in his stride now having been in London for almost a decade and he's relaxing his dramatic muscles. We've quite a comic year ahead of us with Merry Wives, Much Ado, As You Like It, and Twelfth Night all to look forward to. The Emos amongst us needn't fear however - we've got some navel-gazing too with Julius Caesar and Hamlet - and the romantics are well served with The Sonnets, A Lover's Complaint, and Troilus and Cressida.

Sunday November 8th 2009  Troilus and Cressida

Sunday December 6th 2009 Measure for Measure

Sunday January 10th 2010 Twelfth Night

All readings (except Hamlet) 6.30-10pm in First Space, downstairs at Chapter Arts Centre, Market Road, Canton, Cardiff.

Bring a copy of the script (any edition) and £3 to contribute to the running of the group. It is helpful if you email to let us know you're coming:
