Space fighting and trading game. A total classic. Originally released on the BBC Micro (by Ian Bell and David Braben), it was converted to most platforms and had a few sequels. This is a good version of the original Elite for the PC . If you have never played Elite before then I recommend you sit down for a few hours and give it a go. The object is to make money and move up through the ranks (harmless, dangerous, deadly, that sort of thing) until you reach the status of Elite. I asked Ian Bell if I could put his game on here. Ok, so he never replied, but at least I asked!
