2000 - Present IT Project Manager
GE Capital Europe (General Electric)
I enrolled on the Information Management Leadership Programme (IMLP) in July 2000, and I will be completing the programme in August 2002. I have worked as an IT project manager in four different businesses within GE Capital Europe in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Switzerland. I have worked on a range of projects in areas such as e-Business architecture, IT productivity and Project tracking. I have also worked as the Intranet Webmaster for one GE business, managing all aspects of development and maintenance.
   
1997, 1998, 1999 Database Developer
Barnfield College, Luton, Bedfordshire
Three summer holidays.
I developed distributed Access database systems to store and process part time lecturer’s pay and travel claims, linked to contract and payroll details.
I helped with the selection and installation of a scanning system to scan enrolment forms, and produced a Visual Basic tool for importing the data into the MIS database.
I developed the college’s Intranet site to allow users to obtain information about courses and enrolments directly from the database using Active Server Pages.
   
1996 Computer Engineer

Four week work experience placement spent building, setting up and configuring PC's, fault finding and testing.

    I was the group leader in a second year project. The task was to design a computerised system for an airline. It involved all stages of software design except the implementation and testing of the system.

    My final year project was to create a talking newspaper for the blind using the Internet. This included all aspects of the software development lifecycle. More information on this can be found here.
