Brighton

No trip to Britain would be complete without a visit to this great town.
On rare occasions you can visit somewhere for the first time and immediately feel at home. When I spent just one day of July 2000 in Brighton I really regretted not going there sooner.Since the early 1980s it has been regarded by some as a trendy and fashionable place and has always had a great reputation for nightlife and entertainment, but I just never got around to exploring it properly (more fool me).
What sets Brighton apart from most English coastal resorts are the people. Not only does this place(recently granted city status) have a young & lively atmosphere but it is full of foreign visitors and a real mix of British people.I really felt at home in this cosmopolitan climate and can see myself living here.

For children the stony beach might not be to their liking but the pier is full of great rides although like most things in Britain you need lots of cash to enjoy it properly.Rock and jazz musicians blast out live music outside several cafes and restaurants so even with little or no money you can enjoy a stroll around the seafront.Brighton has a definite mediterranean feel about it unlike any other seaside town.

There are gigs and clubs for all tastes, many pubs, cafes, restaurants and many of them have outdoor seating with glorious views of the seafront.

More good and bad things about Brighton coming soon!
