The Acid Stings name was the title of a one-off fanzine mailorder catalogue I did in 1980.The first official Acid Stings catalogue was released in1988.The objective was always to promote AS releases and also promote and sell other great music which was being completely ignored by the mainstream UK radio and trendy music/alternative press.At the time this ranged from live Doors and Byrds tapes,unsung but excellent punk bands to the Secret Chants of Tibetan Lamas.View some of the catalogues below. |

Number 4 from 1991 was decorated with images from Nepal and Tibet picked up on my travels as well as the usual alternative/punk images.The CDs,records,cassettes it promoted were a similar mix of Tibetan,punk,hippy and 60s music that I felt should be heard by a wider audience. |

Number 5 contained a similar eclectic mix and among the recommended listens were Nirvana,ATV,Byrds,Folf Music Of Tibet and Elvis Costello.Tibetan Monks illustrated page 1. |
