RONALDO'S CONTRACT STALLS

Some worrying news for Cristiano Ronaldo fans everywhere - Ronaldo's talks over the length and value of his next contract appear to have stalled.

Whilst Fergie is looking set to put pen to paper on a new three year deal because of the Glazer's arrival, it seems that the Portuguese star has been pushed to the back of the queue where contract renegotiations are concerned!

Howard and Giggs have aleready signed new deals, and Rio Ferdinand is enxt in line to affirm his commitment to the Reds, long-term.

His agent, Jorge Mendes, is quoted in a daily UK Newspaper as saying "Negotiations are at a standstill - I am still waiting for a call from the club."

With Real Madrid eagerly waiting for Cristiano to join his namesake at the Bernabeu, how come signed him on a new long term deal isn't a priority?
