Within the pages of this site my aim is to share with you my experiences during the setting up of my first marine tank. Here I intend to document both successes and disappointments encountered as I undertake each part of the project.

I will also make available details of any homebrew projects, such as the drain I have constructed for the tank sump.

As many of you may be aware setting up a marine tank is an expensive business so progress will be, shall we say, an unhurried affair as funds gradually become available to enable me to purchase all of the necessary equipment. Having said that, I firmly belive that to create something as incredible as a living reef you have to take the time to get it right, so the money issue is not a problem.

At present, the plan is to proceed with the final setup of the tank during Christmas of 2003.

I hope to display my water quality results, as well as any other findings while the tank is being cycled in the New Year.
