Our Vacation Home Exchange Experience

This is for those who are considering a vacation home exchange. It is about our experience of exchanging our home in England with the USA and more recently Australia.

We will explain how we organized the trips, how they were, problems which arose and our tips in the light of experience. Hopefully this will be useful for others who might be considering this form of vacation.

We have had two vacations in the USA by exchanging our home in Malvern, Central England (and car).  We visited Cape Cod and New Hampshire in 1998 and Hollywood in 1999.  We have also participated in a 'hospitality exchange' to Boston.

The benefits were more than just financial. We found the quality of our visits were enhanced by exchange of local information and comfortable homes are better than hotel rooms.
