What a difference a week makes! The Norwich match really was a kick up the arse.We started  out slowly but relentlessly built up pressure. Slow first half, West Brom were on the attack most of the time but we sorted them. Second half we really took it to them. Our goals were both taken by Dalton who kept his head under pressure.

Harper - Good solid start. Wasn't really stretched, but was always in the right place when he should have been! Morrison made a point of pointing him out to the crowd at the end of the game, which must have boosted his confidence no end.
Phillips - What an inspired buy. How could Notts. Forest afford to leave him out of contention? He was everywhere, forward, backwards and in the middle.
Edwards - I have to say we've found our left back for the season. He was solid at the back and even came forward for an attempt on goal in the second half. Just watch him run back into position after the attack broke down! If it wasn't for you've guessed who, he would be my man of the match!
Dyson - His sliding tackles are a thing of beauty! I hope Simon Normington puts them to music for the next video, then we WOULD have the working man's ballet.
Morrison - Rock cliches spring to mind. He won just about everything in the air and intimidated his marker right out of the game.
Gray - I'm glad he's been offered a new contract, because his work rate and success today was second to none.
Dalton - Yes, obviously, man of the match. "Walking In A Dalton Wonder Land" is going to be number one for Christmas! Thanks for giving me such a good present, mate!
Horne - Commanding in central mid-field but marvellous sweeping behind the back two. Backwards & forwards all afternoon, I think he's back to match fitness!
Makel - Number  9! Strange number for a mid-field player. His come-back to the first team was timeley. No ego got in the way today, he just ran and passed like we knew he could but rarely saw.
Allison - He took an awful long time to warm-up but once he was there he made it count! Unlike Boothy, he isn't passed the ball, he claims 50/50's or collects loose ones. Then holds off the indians until the cavalry arrives. His lay-off to Dolly was inch perfect to make the first goal and took a deserved bow for it.
Johnson - Slagged off the ref. A little too long and got a yellow card for it! He was in the right, but that doesn't seem to matter these days. Played well and had a chance.
Burnett - Came on for Makel and was seen immediately as a fresh pair of legs.
Payton - Replaced Dalton, but everybody was singing so much and it was so foggy nobody could tell!

What a start to Christmas!!!!!

P.S. Where was Stewart? .... Who cares? (That looks a little harsh, but we didn't miss him at all).
