Shocking weather, shocking game, great result.
20 minutes in and nothing had happened. Town were content to watch West
Brom struggle to get anything going - how they are at the top is an
utter mystery.
Then Town broke and Wayne Allison set Lee Makel away in to the area, Lee
put in a good shot well saved by their 'keeper only for the ball to fall
to the feet of Grant Johnson who ballooned over the bar.
From then on it became impossible to see what was going on at the other
end of the pitch - fortunately, Town were attacking toward us in the
second half.
No idea how WBA played as an attacking force in the second half, but
thankfully Dalts regained the touch lacking vs Norwich and turned their
full back inside out for the first goal and then relieved the pressure
with a great second.
Put through by the ever battling Allison, he drew the keeper and
defender, caused them to collide and end up in a lump to watch while he
found an empty net.
Defensively we were magnificent - the new keeper had one save to make
all afternoon (I think!) and Edwards in particular looked the part in
the problem left back position.
Morrison and Gray were colossus and Dyson classy.
Not much football today, but who cares? Town were resilient West Brom
were very poor.
MOM - got to be Dalton.
