Dance and Movement Workshop

We are delighted to be able to introduce our new dance and movement workshop which explores the roots of dance and helps break down those inhibitions so many of us feel. As well as workshops for children of key stage 2 and up, we also offer an hour long Inset for Teachers providing the opportunity to explore the many uses of Dance and Movement within the curriculum.

Performance Workshop

Aimed at 7 - 11 Year olds and upwards. Pupils learn about physical theatre and work practically with each other. Fast paced and very interactive

Improvised Stories

Aimed at 4 - 11 Year olds (KS1 and KS2). Actors perform some of the published classics such as "The Gruffolo", "Where's my Teddy?" and "Where the wild things are" - lasts 1/2 an hour (minimum of two performaces)

Creative Writing / Story Creation

Aimed at 7 - 10 Year olds this workshop is all about encouraging creative writing. Here we explore the structure of stories and provide many useful tools for stimulating and enabling story creation.

Story Telling

Aimed at 7 - 10 Year olds but suitable for older agegroups, this workshop is all about encouraging interesting and imaginative ways of storytelling.

Approaching Maskwork

Aimed at yr 8- 9 this workshop is designed specifically to introduce the techniques and acting styles used in Commedia Dell'Arte studies, as part of the gcse drama syllabus.

Stage Combat (unarmed)

An exciting but safe introduction to unarmed stage combat and the techniques used.

GCSE and A-Level 'devising' workshops

Workshops designed to eliminate the mysteries of devising and help the students dive in head first!

Physical Theatre and Story Theatre

A discovery of the techniques and uses employed in two of the most versatile and accessable forms of Theatre. Suitable for GCSE and A-level.

Brecht V's Stanislavski

A workshop comparing and contrasting the two very clear styles of character preparation, rehearsal and performance, including reference to the socio-economic influences on both men. GCSE - A level.
