has been around for quite a while now in the "acting world", having trained at The Central School of Speech and Drama and then Bretton Hall. He gave up Theatre after the birth of his daughter in 2001, in order to concentrate on "Film" and "TV" as well as work less antisocial hours and since then Adrian's career has seen some exceptional highs as well as a few lows. Appearances in "Gosford Park" and "Enigma" were notable highs and weeks spent playing 'Thomas the Tank Engine' with his two year old son, |
while highs in terms of family and male bonding were nevertheless career low points. Adrian started his first company back in 1988. Tooth 'n Nail was formed largely in order for its founding members to acquire their Equity cards (which in those days was still a closed shop) and having succeeded in that and after two successful schools tours (a Christmas show called "Molly's Magical Musical Box" which ran for two consecutive years) a community play touring the festival circuit on a horse and cart ( "Shuttleworths curative Compound") and a play concerning the privatisation of council housing for West Yorkshire District Councils, the company was dismantled. Since that time Adrian has been largely on tour. Companies that he has worked for include London Bubble, Boxclever, Oddsocks Productions, Il Palcetto Stage, The Orange Tree Theatre, Huddersfield's Lawrence Batley Theatre, Re-Creation Theatre Company, Major Road Theatre Company, The Secret Agents Theatre Company, House Theatre and Sixth Sense TIE Company. TV appearances include Eastenders, The Bill, Frost, Keen Eddy (US) and Family Values. Film credits include Gosford Park, Enigma, Love Actually and Brannagh's Magic Flute (just out) |
