Statement of Faith
We Believe
in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible, which is
therefore inherent and infallible in its original autographs. We
also believe in the sole authority in the Bible, and therefore
reject any claim that there is authority in tradition or in any
supposed further revelation. (2 Tim 3:16 and 1Peter 1:21)
We believe
that there is one God. He is infinite and perfect, eternally
existing in three distinct and equal persons: The Father, The
Son, and The Holy Spirit- each possessing the nature and
perfection of deity, as well as the characteristics of
personality and in this sense, they are a tri-unity,
one-in-three, and three-in-one. (Deut 6:4, Acts 17:24, Psalm
90:2, Math 28:19,20)
We believe
that God is the creator of all things, and that God created
individually the various groups of living beings, including
mankind, as special acts of creation not through evolution. (Gen
1-2, Psalm 96:5, Is 37:16, Jerem 10:11-12, Rom 4:17, Heb 11:3)
We believe
that the first man, Adam, was created in the image of God. Adam
sinned, though the image of God has not been lost, as a
consequence all people are now born guilty before God and with a
nature of rebellion against Him. (Gen 1:26, 27,2:7, Psalm 51:5,
Eph 2:1-3, Rom 5:12)
We believe
that God made an irrevocable covenant with Abraham, which
includes the unconditional election of Israel as God's chosen
people, the promise of the Messiah through whom all the world
will be blessed, and the gift of the land of Israel to the Jewish
people. (Gen 12:1-3, 15:9-17, 17:1-5, 2 Sam 7:12-16, Rom 9-11).
We believe
that God the Son ,the eternal Word ,took human nature to Himself
and was known as Y'shua,or Jesus, the Messiah. We believe in His
full deity,His virgin conception by the work of the Holy
Spirit,His full humanity, and His sinless life.( Is 7:14,9:6,John
1:1-3, 14, 20:28, Col 2:9, 2 Cor 5:21, 1 Peter 2:22, Heb 4:15,
7:26)
We believe
that Jesus the Messiah is the promised Prophet, Priest and King.
As the prophet he revealed the mind of God in His teaching. As
the great High Priest, He offered Himself once and forall as he
only effective sacrifice for the sins of men, dying as an
atonement, which is both penal and substitutionary. He continues
His priestly ministry as He interscedes for His people. As the
King, He began His reign as Messiah when He ascended into heaven
after his death and bodily ressurrection. He will return
physically and visibaly to reign on earth. (Rom 6:9-10, Rev 20:1,
Deu 18:15, Acts 3:22-24, Mat 13:57, Heb 1-2, Lev 21, Heb 5-7,
7:1-3, 2 Sam 7:12-16, Isi 9:7, Luke 1:32-33, Mat 2:1-11)
We believe
that the Holy Spirit sovereignly gives gifts to believers, though
no one particular gift is given to every believer. We believe in
justification through grace alone through faith alone and that
salvation is only achieved by faith in the Messiah Jesus for Jew
and Gentile alike. We further believe that true believers in
Messiah Jesus cannot lose their salvation. (1 Cor 12:1-11, 28-30,
Rom 12:6-8, Eph 4:11, 2:8-9, Acts 4:12 Rom 8:27-30, John
10:28-30)
We believe
that the church is comprised of both Jew and Gentile who have
accepted Jesus as Messiah. Gentiles who have come to faith in
Messiah are fellow heirs with Jewish believers of the promises of
God. We also believe that the establishment of the local assembly
of believers were both Jews and Gentiles are encouraged to live
together in unity, whilst expressing their respctve cultural
distinctives. (Eph 2:15, Heb 10:24-25, Acts 14:23, 1 Tim 3, Titus
1:5-9)
We believe
that there will be a seven year period in which God will pour out
His wrath on the earth, after which Messiah Jesus will return to
earth to reign over the Millennial Kingdom. Then all his enemies
will be put under his feet and He will hand over the kingdom to
His Father. We further believe that the final state of those who
have trusted in Messiah Y'shua will be eternal bliss in the
prescence of God while the eternal state of those who have not
trusted the Messiah will be one of conscious suffering in hell.(

11:1-10, 2 Peter 3:13, Rev 21:1-3, 20:1-15, Mat 25:46, 2 Thess
