What is Hotsnack?

Hotsnack is an independent >object< operating from no specific location with the ability to hack and deface all digital media for broadcast elsewhere.. The team or media unit work on a continual program with a zero design brief - except to manipulate and transmit new or already presented digital media. Primary platforms include: interactive audio, digital sound synthesis, algorithmic composition, animation, GIF, HTML, Flash, Quicklime and any other format (3lu]) easily available.

There are no contracts with this work and certainly no guarantee's, we admit through Hotsnack vision you gain access to a form of media, a >media< that exists without an "air of authority". ***All work showcased within this site comes care free and applied with Hotsnack filter.***

To date we have activated several projects, pornslapper is a series of low quality animated GIF/QuickTime or MPEG clips. These distorted clips encourage the onlooker to question the relationship between the past and present content> all published media is now every changeable.

The dream machine is a collection of movie and audio sequences, designed to induce sleep. The Hotsnack team showcased the dream machine and induced sleep at the public space known as the Mappin Art Gallery Sheffield.

The Hotsnack interactive media sweetie(s) or (I-M-S) series is a straight forward net based interface which gives the user a powerful tool enabling then to construct electronic audio composition's. This I-M-S series comes with a range of easy to use and visually stimulating interfaces.

Our most recently project 365fodder provides the online user with a direct channel to the daily food of our Hotsnack team, that's right now you can experience a direct link to a real Hotsnack, the project activated on St George's Day 2002 will continue for the next 365 day's until the final meal and crumb is eaten.
