5th Sketty Rainbow Guides meet at All Souls Church Hall every Thursday during school term-time between 5.15pm and 6.15pm. A weekly subscription of £1.00 is collected and the money goes towards equipment and items for the meetings. Any girl aged 5 or 6 can join The Guide Association as a Rainbow Guide. I do unfortunately have a very long list of girls waiting to join. During the Rainbow meeting we play games, paint. draw and make different items. The children also learn new songs and enjoy listening to stories. At each meeting we spend a short time sharing each other's news. In the first few weeks a new Rainbow Guide will find out what making a promise means. When she is ready will make her Rainbow Guide Promise with the rest of the unit. She is then given her Rainbow Guide Promise Badge to wear on her red tabard and a certificate to mark the occasion. When a Rainbow reaches her seventh birthday she then moves onto a Brownie Pack.
