Let's face it, a world without music would be a pretty grim place. However, some music is enough to make the world a grim place any way! Just because I like music that isn't contrived crap and I like to wear black (see Thoughts on Life) I occasionally get the odd bit of inbred idiocy shouted at me.
But, for just one nano-second, if these people took the time to stop being a clone and listen to just one song properly without saying something like 'Sound like like just a load of noise' (like someone repeating a list of fast food chains over and over isn't!) they might learn that there is a universe of music out there that has something which the majority of pop music lacks...meaning, emotion and feeling. Here is a list of just some of my favourite bands and solo artists, along with one or two of the songs that make world a little less mainstream and a little more interesting...
