1. From (by) two old men one fat fish was given to three black cats
ad du peil ajoma, an piskis fata adogoz u tri filis blaka

Notes
· In a conventional sentence
The Subject is normally the 'Active Noun', i.e. that which does the action described by the verb.
The Object is normally the 'Passive Noun', i.e. that which is acted upon by the verb.
The Indirect Object is normally the 'Secondary Passive Noun' i.e. that which is affected by the action done to the Passive Noun.
· In some cases the 'Active Noun' (A), when it is the Object of the sentence, may take the preposition 'ad'.
· In all cases, the 'Passive Noun' (B) does not take a preposition.
· In all cases, the 'Secondary Passive Noun' (C) is preceded by a preposition. In this case, 'u' (to) but it might be any other preposition. E.g. if the verb of the sentence was 'take' then the indirect object would be preceded by 'o' (from).
· The verb changes from the active form 'goz' (gave) to the passive form 'adgoz' (was given) whenever the Passive noun precedes it, or the Active Noun follows it.
· And if this all sounds far too complicated, don't worry – just put 'o/u' (from/to etc) and 'ad' (by) in the places where it looks right and everything will make sense.
