20.1 Object Predicate

· He called his son Peter (to be Peter)	il namoz cuil ovsu Piter
· We judged him guilty (to be guilty)	mi jejoz il gila
· I heard the bird singing	me hoz avis soniza

Other

· I can go anytime, anywhere	me abvez ente, enas
· the centre of the town	mid vila
· sum of ten pounds	je ax pawnd
· the creator of Gilo	kratodpe da Gilo
· the problem of disarmament	pob unwepiza
· to suffer from a fever	adsufiz fav

20.2 Gerund

In English the gerund has the same form is the present participle: running, speaking, working etc. In Gilo, where required the 'ad' prefix can be used. The tense affix can be added wherever appropriate. The infinitive and gerund may be interchangeable in some cases and can be either the subject or object of a verb and treated as a noun eg :-

· Dancing amused him.	dansiz mãsoz il.
· He was amused by dancing	il admãsoz dansiz
· Her interest was painting.	tres ovel boz pentiz
· Her interest was being painted.	tres ovel boz adpentiz
· Her interest was paint.	tres ovel boz pent
· Her interest was paintings.	tres ovel boz pentodi
