14    Commands and Requests

For the imperative form (command) use the present tense either without proper noun or pronoun or with it following the verb:-

·          Sit!  You sit down!

Sitez.  Sitez yu.

·          Go to the door

Jez u dør

·          Don't go into the garden

Nejez u gãd

Note the difference between a command, a request and a question eg:-

Command

Go to the door

jez udør

Request

Please go to the door

aska jez udør

Reported request

I asked (requested) him to go to the door

me askoz il jez udør

Question

I asked him if he had gone to the door

me koz il k il ozjoz udør

Note also:  For indirect or reported questions use 'k' and not 'if'
