Ashley gained the nickname of 'King of Spain'
following an unfortunate printing error involving some mugs ordered by the
Warwickshire Club shop at Edgbaston.
The mugs included pictures of Ashley and were meant to
read 'Ashley Giles - King of SPIN' unfortunately it came back as ' King of
Spain'.
It was so popular that further orders were placed with
the new wording and even England fans have taken up this name for Gilo as
demonstrated in the photo opposite taken in Capetown during the 3rd Test
against South Africa.
We are pleased to have found out the names of the flag
owners. Martin Belk (Left) and Phil Reid (Right) - keep up the good work
guys and thanks for the photo.
The flag made an appearance at Edgbaston during the
2nd Test and Old Trafford during the 3d Test.
Another Gilo flag was seen at Trent Bridge courtesy of
Jo Fitz-Henry and the Queens of Spain.
