29/10/09 First of all congratulations to Martin for passing his Black Belt grading and being promoted to 1st Degree!
Also congratulations to Richard who brought back a Gold from the recent South East Championships!
Lastly there is a small change to the current training timetable: the event that was preventing us training on 13/11/09 has been cancelled so the hall is now available and lessons will be held as normal. Ammended timetables are now available. |
12/10/09 I've just been notified by Mark Rutherford School that they'll be using the Activities room on thursday for the Mayoral elections - as a result we'll be in room 001 instead, if you're not sure where that is just turn left instead of right when you enter the school and look for where i've parked! |

Congratulations to Richard, Catello and Chris who competed in the Interclub Championships and brought back a total of four golds and two silvers! Next competition coming up is the British Championships in November! |

I know it was a while ago but i've just seen this video and it does reflect how good the British Championships were last year! Even though I was busy working as an official I still got to see plenty of the action, the special demonstrations and the inter-area competition were fantastic!
More recently the TAGB performed a demo for the Rotarians at their 100th anniversary event.

Congratulations to Richard and Chris who competed in the Midlands Championships and brought back a total of three golds and two silvers!! Both guys had some great fights and I was lucky enough to be in exactly the right position for Richards final to see him administer a turning kick that completely eclipsed his opponents face! Anyone interested in going to any competitions, either as a competitor or spectator, please come and speak to me. The next competition coming up is the Interclub Championships at the end of the month - by TAGB standards this is a small competition but there will still be hundreds of competitiors and every trophy will be hard-won! |
30/06/09 Training is as normal today despite the heat - all students should remember to bring plenty to drink (as usual!) and I will be bringing a couple of fans so that we have some basic air-con. There's no reason that weather should stop us training, could you convince a mugger not to attack you because it was too hot to defend yourself?! |

04/03/09 Next Tuesday (10th) i'll be doing a grading run-through in the first hour, if you're grading at the end of the month this is an opportunity to go through the procedure and get yourself into gear for the real thing. |
