1st XI 1/9/09
Calmore Sports are now back where they belong in the Southern Leagues. A Historic Victory over Lock's Heath on Saturday by 4 wickets leaves Calmore finishing second in County 1 and awaiting now only accreditation to return to the Southern Leagues. The Match itself saw Calmore win by 4 wickets. Lock's Heath won the toss and decided to bat first. Calmore bowled well and ended up bowling out Lock's Heath for 131, Paul Cass (4-27) the stand out bowler.
Calmore then came out to bat but found themselves in realistic trouble of loosing the match when they found themselves 47-5. However cool heads Tom Pegler (39*) and Peter Clark (19*) put together 58 for the 7th wicket to bring home the Victory and with it Southern League Cricket.
2nd XI 26/8/09
Calmore 2's knew they had to win and hope other results went their way to gain Promotion to County 4 and they held up their end of that Bargain. Deciding to bowl first they bowled Bransgore out for 94, Paul Henry (4-18) Martin Donovan (3-3). However the run chase wasn't as easy as they may have thought and regular wickets fell on their way to reaching the total. Aiden Smith top scored with 27 in his last game for Calmore as they won by 3 wickets.
They had a tense wait to find out how the other results went and finished 4th in the league when they discovered Rowner had beaten Curdridge. So will face another season in Regional South One next year after a brave effort this year.
3rd XI 10/8/09
Calmore 3rd team will hope they have done enough to stay up deciding to bat first having won their last 5 games where they have done that they didn't disappoint scoring 276 in their innings, Ollie Tull top scored with a fantastic 127 accompanied by the ever impressive Kev Gardner who scored 69.
Calmore then came out to bowl knowing that they had to bowl Brockenhurst out in order to gain maximum points. 2 wickets each for Provins, Croft, Tull and Dempster saw Calmore bowl Brock out for 178 and gain Maximum points from the game.
Mudeford loosing put them below Calmore so Calmore finished 4th from bottom and are now at the mercy of the League Structures to see if they have officially stayed up or not.
Border League 10/8/09
Calmore's Border League team won Division 2 this year remaining unbeaten all season in the league.
