This is my pond it was made in April of 2003 it is 16ft+8ft+4ft it is 2ft underground and 2ft above. the 2Ft above is made from 18"+9"+4" concrete blocks laid flat on a concrete ring beam there is a liner in the pond with the top being held down with 18"+18" slabs the out side is smooth rendered total cost was about £200 the gazebo was added in June to stop the green water cost £40 it was covered with b&q weed suppresser two rolls cost £8 and trellis added later just for show cost £20 an in pond surfaces skimmer was added at the same time cost £15 as my local aquatic outlet had burned down and all stock was sold off cheep the filters consist of two b&q water tanks with a divider in the middle joined together with 1"1/2 tank connectors the water is pumped from the pond via the skimmer to the first chamber off brushes then to second chamber of jap mat then to third chamber of agrock then forth chamber of agrock and filter wool and back to the pond there is a small pump (200 g/h ) in the last chamber threw a 55w uv to the first chamber each chamber has two air stones run by a koi air pump

I will be digging down another 2ft and adding a bottom drain I will then be having a black fiberglass coating in the pond and filter bays

The filters will be dropped to allow the system to be gravity fed by the new bottom drain

i made the covers myself from polycarb sheets and 3x2 . they are split down the middle and slide open on warm days
